There will be radio clips about treatment for adults with eating disorders in BC on CBC at 6:00, 7:00 and 8:00 on Thursday morning, as well as on the half hour news casts (which are only allocated 90 seconds, so there is likely to be more information on the hour news). CBC Radio Vancouver is 690 on the am dial, 88.1 fm.

Secondly, it will be on CBC TV tomorrow sometime between 5:00 and 6:30. I couldn't pin them down any more than that, but they are hoping to be on the national. I don't know what channel CBC is on, but each of you can check your listings in your local areas to watch.

You should be able to access live broadcasts on both radio and TV at http://www.cbc.ca/bc/video-audio/

In addition, I expect the story will make the cbc.bc/ca website by radio tomorrow, and the TV broadcast by the following day.

This is the radio story; it's supposed to be a teaser for the more indepth CBC TV story tonight. This is what we have been trying to get people to hear - the treatment system in BC sucks - and finally broke through:

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/story/2011/11/30/bc-eating-disorder-patients.html

There is a photo of Amber, who is obviously extremely underweight, but they seem to have distorted it, so it doesn't really look real. Also mentioned numbers *extremely low weight*, so be honest with yourself about whether you are in a "wise mindset" to read it.

I'm going to be on a bus tomorrow between 5 and 6 :( Hopefully it'll be floating around the internet somewhere?

Awesome work that you're doing, Sally. Really proud of you.

Hey, it'll be on tonight, not tomorrow, and even without the TV piece it is already going absolutely viral! They want to do another two interviews on it on World Report tonight, in addition to the piece about Amber. I'm floored. And pumped!!!

Just watched it, I think! I think it was really good. I really liked the interview with Kathryn Koehler.

We have gone completely viral. We are getting interest from all the media in BC now. URL below has a couple of the live broadcasts.

***TRIGGER WARNING*** Both of them have inappropriate focus on Amber's skinniness, so again, watch with caution.

Ooh Sally, I forgot to tell you that my dad was in Toronto a few weeks ago when this was first aired and he heard it on the radio there before I told him about it! So did one of my cousins in Hamilton! Or Ottawa. I'm actually not sure where she is right now...

That's great, thanks. We are now strategising to keep the story going, because the story is about inaccessibily and inappropriateness of ED specific services in outlying communities.
