I don't really know the appropriate place for this posting at this point, nor do I care that much in the sense that I just need some understanding.

I found out today that a friend of mine who suffered with an ED has passed on, and was found by her sister. This upsets me more than I can articulate. This was a beautiful, intelligent, amazing girl. She never stopped twice to think about giving support to those in need of help, and was worth so much more than an eating disorder, yet was never able to fully see it.

I am saddened bu this loss, and disgusted with this illness. I want to cry and scream. I've lost so many friends to this, and it scares me.

I hope you all know how amazing you truly are.

I am very, very sorry.

Eating disorders are terrible diseases and sadly do claim far too many lives.

I hope you have support around you. Of course we are here for you too.

I'm very sorry for your loss :heart:

It seems like there are never any right words when something like this has happened, like desperately looking for a way to soften the grief and finding that there isn't one... But perhaps it can be shared. You are not alone.
Reading this makes me sad, but it also makes me think how lucky we are to be alive and how hard we need to fight back. I don't want this horrible disorder to claim any more victims.
