http://www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyle/ ... ikini-body

A good article about how we should be happy with our bodies- we all have bikini bodies!
The comments below were particularly good, and pointed out that despite the supposed point of the article, there were a bunch of links underneath about beauty treatments and the like. >.>

But yayy, bikini bodies are nonsense cooked up by magazines, everyone is free to be happy with and/or accept their body! ;D

LOVE THIS, thank you for sharing!

Especially the fact about Marylin Monroe.

I love Marilyn Monroe. She really was beautiful.

And I agree 100% with this article. It's funny how the bikini was once a symbol of freedom and empowerment and is now a symbol of anguish.

It's ridiculous, the lengths to which we are encouraged by magazines etc to change our bodies to fit our clothes. That's not what clothes are for. ANYONE can look good in clothes that are the correct size, an therein lies the problem. People have come to be ashamed of having to buy a bigger size of clothes, when they walk into anywhere that sells magazines and on the front most are declaring "get a bikini body in 10 days" and "drop a dress size in a week". We're being programmed to think that instead of buying that gorgeous top in a size that fits us and looks amazing, we should buy a size too small and make our bodies fit the clothes. It's madness. Clothes come in different sizes because people come in different sizes. OK, I'll stop ranting now and say that I agree with everything the link said- it's about time we read something like this instead of the opposite

This has most likely been posted before, but I just adore it.

I'm sorry to revive this but this artictle introduced me to the concept of a "fat whisperer" and it cracks me up.

‘I command you to get out!’, she is said to whisper to the fat cells in an effort to banish them.
