I looooove my netbook. I post on WBB and facebook and send emails on it every morning in bed. Karen figured out the language issue for me, so now I have punctuation back (which is something close to my heart, so I'm very grateful to her). It is totally portable, fits in my purse, and picks up wireless most everywhere (and where it doesn't, I have a rocket stick that hooks me up). I am running microsoft office, and I have had no issues with memory running any applications so far. I would totally get another one of these before I would buy a laptop.

^^^

Sounds nice...I wish I had such a portable 'appletop'...but then again, I like my 'appletop' plenty enough.

*smiles*

Do you have a name for your netbook yet?

I'm thinking of getting a netbook, too! I love my laptop but it's quite heavy to cart to and from uni. Might pick one up in Feb Heart

I still l-o-v-e my netbook. Way easier than a laptop to cart around and it does everything I need to do. Cheaper than a laptop, too.

They have a few 'back to school' sales here so I might put one on lay-buy (lay away?).

My mum agrees that it would be a good idea too! what's the battery life like on your netbook? my laptop had about 2hrs but it's now down to about 10min Sad gotta replace the battery

I get about 3 hours on the internet on it; apparently it uses more battery life when you're online. I've never run out, but I guess I'm also never really more than 2 hours away from a power outlet.

Advantage # 32 to the netbook: the nurses think it is a portable DVD player...

I wouldn't trade mine in for a laptop. Neither would other people I know who have them.
