I do believe my mom caused a bit of my ED

When I was a kid, ironically, I'd eat everything. I'd eat up to 5 meals a day until I was stuffed. And I wouldn't do anything and stay the same weight. But my mom was always talking about being Fat, wearing baggy clothes, buying me food and doughnuts and none for herself. In 7th grade when I lost all my family support I began developing it

'Anyone' can become anorexic 'by eating too little food for too long'.


I don't necessarily believe that. I believe that they'll develop some physical qualities but mentally they'll just be hungry.

have you read about the minnesota starvation experiment?

basically? starvation can actually cause eating disorder like thought patterns

No offense... But, while skipping lunch for two years isn't healthy nor recommended... It's not the same as being clinically malnourished or starvation. I know THAT firsthand as I am clinically malnourished (and wasn't for a long time despite super sketchy eating habits)
