Recovery Guitar

I was in Minneapolis this last weekend for a workshop I sang at. I don't like to fly with my guitar but I was visiting my friend who usually has a guitar for me. But this time she found out after I got there the person we were going to borrow the guitar from decided we couldn't use it. So I ended up buying a new guitar at Target and I will use it as my "travel" guitar. So I was thinking I could do whatever I wanted to this guitar. I thought it would be totally cool to collage the guitar. But then I thought well I have collaged a lot of my own stuff so here is what I am looking for.
I thought it would be cool if this guitar became a guitar of recovery.
So if you are interested send me a positive word, phrase, quote, picture that means something to you and your recovery. It can be something you cut out of a magazine or you make yourself. Then if you could write a short paragraph, poem, art however you would like to share why or what that word means to your recovery. Then I will collage the words on the guitar and put the stories in a folder to show the people I sing to. I travel around the country and sing to people in treatment, schools, community events, and professional. You can put your name on it or keep it annonymous. Be creative and use your voice the way you feel you want to use it. Try to keep them somewhat small but big enough to read so we can fit a lot of people on there. I guess if we fill up this guitar I will just get another.
I am also looking for a name for the guitar so if you have any ideas please email me back.
I think the guitar would become a work of inspiration, empowerment and education. And it will be a voice of all of us in recovery instead of just my voice in my own recovery which to me would make an even stronger statement.
